The Centre for Audit Quality Committee of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), hosted by the ICAI Nagpur Branch (WIRC), organised a seminar on Audit of Corporate Financial Statements here, recently. CA Swaroopa S Wazalwar, Chairperson, ICAI Nagpur Branch (WIRC), expressed her gratitude to the chief guest, eminent speakers, and participants for their enthusiastic presence.

 

A special highlight of the programme was the launch of the beta version of the ICAI Nagpur Branch website at the hands of CA Vishaal Doshi, Central Council Member, ICAI. The website was presented by CA Raghav Mundhra, marking another significant step towards the branch’s digital transformation. The technical sessions were delivered by experts from the profession. CA Dhananjay Gokhale, Mumbai, talked on the ‘Overview of Financial Statements and Schedule III’ highlighting the presentation and disclosure requirements under Companies Act. CA Padmashree Crasto deliberated on ‘Accounting and Auditing Standards for Small and Medium Practices (SMPs),’ explaining the practical aspects of implementation, compliance, and professional expectations for SMPs.
