MLC Sandip Joshi, who was already a Vice-President on the Maharashtra Olympics Association body, got elevated to the post of Senior Vice-President in an MOA meeting held at Mumbai on Saturday. President of the Maharashtra Basketball Association, Joshi, thus became the first ever Senior VP from Vidarbha. Late Ajit Pawar was president of the body. After his demise, Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, who was Sr VP was elected as the new president unanimously. Apart from basketball, Joshi is associated with State hockey and wrestling associations, and a host of other sports bodies.
