The industrial community in Hingna MIDC has sought closer police-industry coordination to tackle rising concerns over theft, traffic management and emergency preparedness, with Nagpur Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil, assuring industry representatives of cooperation and prompt attention to their concerns. Addressing an interaction organised by the MIDC Industries Association (MIA), MIA president P Mohan called for a structured mechanism for regular dialogue between industries and police. He proposed regular industry - police coordination meetings, a dedicated channel for urgent industrial issues, joint identification of theft-prone locations, increased night patrolling and better traffic management.

 

He proposed a common emergency communication mechanism and periodic joint mock drills, involving all key agencies, to improve preparedness and reduce response time during emergencies. During a one-to-one interaction, Nangare Patil patiently heard the concerns raised by industrial members and assured them of his cooperation. He stressed the importance of preventive policing and close coordination with industries to create a safer business environment. Nangare Patil was felicitated on the occasion along with Vasant Pardesi, Additional Commissioner of Police, South Region, and Rishikesh Reddy, DCP Zone 1. From MIDC, Executive Engineer Vittal Rathod, Area Manager Gajanan Wankhede and Abhaji Gute participated in the interaction. The programme began with a welcome address by Arun Lanjewar, Secretary, MIA, followed by an introduction by Siddarth Khosla. Lanjewar proposed the vote of thanks. Krishna Kumar Daga and Pravin Palkar coordinated the programme from MIA.
