THEMadhya Pradesh Employees
Selection Board (MPESB) has
announced recruitment for 7,500
Police Constable (GD) posts,
bringing a major opportunity for
aspirants nearly three years after
the last large-scale constable
recruitment in 2023. The vacancies are under the Police
Headquarters, Home (Police)
Department.
7,500 posts across two categories: Of the total vacancies,
700 posts have been earmarked
for Constable GD in the Special
Armed Force (SAF), while 6,800
posts are for Constable GD outside the SAF. The recruitment
notification was issued on
September 9, 2026.
Applications open from
September 22: Eligible candidates can apply online through
the MPESB portal from
September 22. The last date for
submitting applications is
October 6, while corrections in
submitted forms can be made
until October 11.
he computer-based written examination is
scheduled to begin from
November 19.
Class 10 qualification
required: Candidates must be
Indian citizens and should have
passed Class 10 or an equivalent
examination under the 10+2 system from a recognised board or
institution.
For candidates belonging to
the Scheduled Tribe category, the
minimum qualification has been
set at Class 8.
Age limit set at 33: Applicants
must be at least 18 years old. The
upper age limit for Madhya
Pradesh general and EWS candidates and applicants from other states is 33 years, with relaxation available to eligible
reserved-category candidates as
per Government rules.
Selection includes written and
physical tests: The selection
process will include a computer-based written examination followed by a physical efficiency test, physical measurement, document verification
and medical examination. The
written test will carry 100
marks, while the physical efficiency test will also carry 100
marks and include events such
as an 800-metre run, shot put
and long jump.
Salary up to Rs 62,000:
Selected candidates will
receive a pay scale of Rs 19,500
to Rs 62,000 per month, along
with applicable government
allowances.
