THE Maharashtra Sub-Junior Sepak Takraw team created history with a remarkable performance at the 29th Sub-Junior National Sepak Takraw Championship, held in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
In a historic achievement, Maharashtra team won a total of six medals — two gold, one silver and three bronze medals, showcasing outstanding skill, determination and teamwork on the national stage.
Maharashtra Team Medal Tally: BOYS: Regu Event — Bronze Medal. Quad Event — Bronze Medal. Double Event — Gold Medal. GIRLS: Team Event — Bronze Medal. Regu Event — Silver Medal. Quad Event — Gold Medal.
The outstanding medal tally marks a memorable milestone for Maharashtra Sub-Junior Sepak Takraw, with the young players demonstrating exceptional talent and bringing great pride to the State.
The achievement is the result of the players’ hard work, disciplined training, dedication and the continuous support of coaches, officials, parents and the association.
Dr Yogendra Pandey, Secretary, Maharashtra Sepak Takraw Association (MSTA), along with association members Dr Viney Moon, Dr Amrita Pandey, Dr Amit Kanwar and other officials, expressed immense happiness and pride over the team’s historic achievement.
The association congratulated all the players, coaches and support staff and encouraged the young athletes to continue working hard, remain focused and achieve even greater success for Maharashtra in the future.
The six-medal haul at the national championship has given a new boost to sub-junior sepak takraw in Maharashtra and has created a proud moment for the entire Maharashtra Sepaktakraw fraternity.
