TANVI Dhurve, a Class XI student of Nutan Bharat Junior College and a swimmer of Roshan Swimming Club helped Maharashtra clinch the bronze medal in the 52nd Junior National Water Polo Championship which was held at International Swimming Pool in Indore. Talented swimmer Tanvi made a significant contribution to Maharashtra’s victory by performing remarkably well and scoring goals. The bronze medal match against Bengal ended in a 4-4 draw and was decided on penalties. Bengal managed to score only one penalty while Maharashtra scored three to win the match 7-5. Tanvi performed brilliantly in the State-level tournament held in Amravati scoring 13 goals.
 
She is the first swimmer from Nagpur to win a medal in the national water polo tournament for three consecutive years. Tanvi received guidance from coach Roshan Chaudhary, Nayana Gokhale, Sports Officer and Chhatrapati Awardee Sanjali Wankhede. Maharashtra Swimming Association Secretary Rajendra Palkar, Nagpur District Swimming Association President Dr Praveen G Lamkhede, Sports Officer Sandeep Khobragade. Principal, Dr Vandana Badwaik, Sanstha Secretary Ramesh Bakshi, coach Pranay Sukhdeve, NIT Swimming Pool Manager Prashant Ugemuge, Srihari Nair, Railway Club Manager Rajesh Vasu, Physio Dr Kevin Agarwal and Pappu Thakur congratulated Tanvi and wished her for future.
