The Sant Ravidas Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation Limited, Bhopal, an undertaking of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, is all set to host a grand State-Level Handloom and Handicraft Mela 2026 under the aegis of the Commissioner of Handlooms and Handicrafts, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The 10-day exhibition, to be held under the flagship “Mrignayanee M P Exhibition” banner, will take place at the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) in Nagpur from September 16 to September 25.

Addressing a press meet here on Monday, Arvind Sharma, In-charge Officer, Handloom and Handicraft Mela 2026, said approximately 45 to 50 skilled weavers and artisans will participate in the exhibition. “The artisans will display and market their self-crafted artistic handloom fabrics and handmade crafts directly to visitors and art enthusiasts,” he added.

Designed as a vibrant cultural and commercial bridge between states, the event will showcase a diverse range of handwoven textiles and traditional artisanal goods crafted by master weavers and artisans from Madhya Pradesh. The display will feature famous handloom weaves such as rich Chanderi and Maheshwari silk sarees, dress materials, dupattas, Bagh-printed fabrics, and traditional Tussar silk items. Alongside the textile collection, the fair will also feature an impressive array of regional handicrafts, including intricate brass decorative items, handcrafted toys, terracotta pottery, and other products.
