TEN students of the free coaching programme ‘SP Ki Pathshala’, being run at Police Lines, have been selected for the post of SubInspector in Madhya Pradesh Police. Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay felicitated the successful candidates with certificates and mementoes at Police Control Room on Monday. The selected candidates are Kajal Gupta, Anjani Bhumiya, Supriya Yadav, Smita Thakur, Prayas Namdev, Anurag Tantuvay, Yogesh Singh Rajput, Shubham Singh, Ashish Arya and Preeti Patel. Ashish Arya is currently serving as a constable with GRP Jabalpur while Preeti Patel is serving as a constable with Delhi Police. The programme, launched in 2020 under the guidance of SP Sampat Upadhyay, provides free coaching and physical training to children of police personnel and economically weaker sections preparing for competitive examinations. Speaking on the occasion, SP Upadhyay congratulated the successful candidates and urged those who could not qualify not to lose hope.
 
He said consistent hard work and dedication would eventually lead to success and wished the candidates a bright future. According to police, since 2021, a total of 359 candidates from SP Ki Pathshala have been selected for government services. The annual figures include eight candidates in 2021, 41 in 2022, 32 in 2023, 43 in 2024, 102 in 2025 and 133 so far in 2026. At present, around 120 students are attending theory classes and 50 are undergoing physical training under the programme. Faculty members and police personnel provide coaching in subjects including history, civics, mathematics, reasoning, economics, Hindi, geography, science, Constitution, general knowledge and yoga, besides physical training.
