INDIAN Ordnance Factories Gazetted Officers Association (IOFGOA), GCF branch, has expressed serious concern over the assault and misbehaviour with Junior Works Manager (SO) Ranjit Prajapati by a private security guard (PSG) at the main gate of Gun Carriage Factory (GCF) on September 14. A delegation of IOFGOA officebearers, led by association secretary Devendra Pratap Singh, submitted a memorandum to the Chief General Manager, GCF, on Tuesday, seeking a fair and detailed inquiry into the incident and appropriate action against those found responsible. Raghunandan Patel, Praveen Mishra and Deepak Bhatt, along with other IOFGOA office-bearers and members were present while submitting the memorandum.

The association said security personnel have an important responsibility to maintain discipline, safety and proper conduct within the factory premises. It termed any incident of assault or misbehaviour with an officer or employee a serious matter. IOFGOA urged the Chief General Manager to ensure an impartial investigation into the entire incident and establish the facts. It demanded appropriate action against the person found guilty based on the findings of the inquiry. The Association also sought necessary directions to the concerned security agency to ensure that such incidents involving officers or employees are not repeated in future.
