SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD Chaitanya Sheshrao Raut, a Class XII student of St Paul College,Pipla Road, Hudkeshwar, broughtglory to the city by scripting asuccess story on the global stage. Son of Police Constable Sheshrao Raut of Hudkeshwar Police Station, Chaitanya competed at the 13th World Strength Lifting Competition held in Kyrgyzstan. The young athleteclaimed two goldmedals and was crowned ‘World StrongMan’in theSub-Junior category. Inastandoutperformance, he equalled the world record in the Biceps Curl event, underlining his exceptional strength and technique.The feat has brought honour not only to his family but also to city and Maharashtra.
