A MENTAL health awareness programme was conducted at Aakar College of Nursing, Hingna, on World Suicide Prevention Day to promote open conversations and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. The programme was based on the global theme ‘Changing the Narrative on Suicide.’ ABGVS Director Dr Pranjal Bogawar, Aakar College of Nursing Principal Dr Priyadarshini Moon, Government District Hospital Matron Vandana Vinod Barde and Nursing Officer and Paediatrics Department Head Tejaswini Mehare were present. Nursing students presented a street play highlighting empathy, listening and timely intervention. A student also presented a poem on hope and positively. Posters on mental health symptoms, awareness and suicide prevention were also displayed.
