Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday was celebrated with enthusiasm at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garden by Jyestha Nagrik Mandal, Dattatraya Nagar, Raghujinagar and Patanjali Yog Samiti.
Namdev Phating, Senior yoga teacher; who presided over the function, prayed for Modi's long and healthy life to lead the nation and recited a poem. Chief guest Mangala Maske, Corporator; said Modi's leadership has taken India to become the world's fifth largest economy, with bold decisions on Article 370 and triple talaq and welfare schemes like free ration and housing for the poor.
Prof Manohar Borade, Harish Deshmukh, Bhimrao Patil and Malti Mamidwar, former corporator also expressed their views. Vandana Tandulkar conducted the programme and Padmakar Agarkar proposed the vote of thanks. A large number of senior citizens were present.
