Have you ever watched a puzzle come to life?
Each piece deliberate, intentional, and quite
Waiting for the one space meant for it alone,
Refusing to join the noise or the riot.
Every knob, each socket holds a promise
That not every shape is crafted for every frame,
And when pieces fall where they do not belong,
You play a painful, exhausting game.
To fit into a wrong space,
You must trim the edges,
Giving up who you are
To find yourself a place.
You may settle in for a moment,
But the corners would fray,
Leaving behind scars a bit too many
With nothing left t say.
Saddest part of changing your own design
Is when true piece finally wanders into view
It cannot lock into the place meant for it,
Because you altered the shape
That was authentically you.
So hold your boundaries. Guard your edges.
Do not cut yourself down
Just to belong in designated pages.
The right match doesn’t demand
You break your frame;
Rather slide in effortlessly,
Forming the whole picture in your name.
