A 56-year-old man died three days after he was injured in a scuffle with his son at their home in Garoba Maidan under the limits of Lakadganj police station. The deceased has been identified as Bablu Sahare. His wife Mamta (45), lodged a complaint against their 23-year-old son Tushar at Lakadganj Police Station. According to police, an argument broke out between Bablu and Tushar around 10 pm on September 16. The dispute was over the electricity bill and household expenses. Police said Bablu was drunk and grabbed Tushar by the throat during the argument. In the ensuing scuffle, Tushar allegedly picked up a screwdriver and struck his father in the abdomen. Bablu suffered a bleeding injury. He was first taken to a nearby clinic and later advised to shift to a better hospital.

 

Relatives took him to Mayo Hospital on September 17. After treatment, he was brought home. His condition deteriorated on September 19. He was then admitted to Taiwade Hospital at Shatabdi Chowk. Doctors declared him dead around 6 pm. Based on Mamta’s complaint, Lakadganj police registered a case against Tushar under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
