DEFENDING champions MKH Sancheti boys and Ambedkar College girls registered facile victories to qualify for finals of the annual Inter-School Basketball Tournament of District Sports Office (DSO) that began at the twin courts of Nagpur University on Monday. On the opening day, matches in the U-19 boys and girls section were played. The trio of Raghav S, Om Raut and Dheer Agrawal excelled as MKH Sancheti drubbed Prerna Convent 33-6. Ambedkar College’s Nishita Bakre andVidhi Gatlewar were on fire in the team’s thumping of CPS Katol Road 45-3. Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by national player Pradeep Mukherjee.

 

On the occasion sports committee head at NMC Darshini Dhawad, DSO official Swapnil Bansod, teachers in-charge Dhiraj Kadao, Mahesh Gaharwar, NDBA joint secretary Sachin Dhage, officials Manoj Rakshak, Chetan Sagarkar and others were present.
