As a part of the ongoing state-level Handloom and Handicraft Fair 2026 at the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), a special workshop for weaver-artisans was conducted on September 21. The event was addressed by Surendra Masram, former Assistant Director of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Government of India. Speaking to participating artisans, Masram shared valuable insights and practical strategies on business growth, market expansion, and commercial scaling. Exhibition in-charge Arvind Sharma and many weavers and craftsmen were present on the occasion. Organised by the Sant Ravidas Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation, Bhopal, the grand 10-day fair is going on from September 16 to 25, featuring 45 to 50 master artisans displaying and selling their self-crafted creations. Major attractions at the expo include silk, Chanderi, cotton sarees; Maheshwari sarees, Bagh print sarees; along with metal statues, Mulberry, Crepe, Kosa, Indigo print sarees, and other products.
