ST JOHN’S High School (State), Mohan Nagar,finally broke the title drought with an exciting win over aspirited St Francis de Sales College,SeminaryHills on Tuesday morning. St John’s last wonthe Subroto Cup in 2024 and since then were missing the title by awhisker, finishing second best on afew occasions. Starting with adominant and attacking game Moses Joseph and Farhan Khan scored in quick succession to put St John’s 2-0 up in the first half itself. They continued their pressure on SFS College citadel in the second half aswell and also defended their own post strongly to record are sounding win in the Schools’tournament after along, long time. The first goal for St John’s came from abeautiful combination from Yash Rajwade and Moses who tapped the ball across the line in the 7th minute.

 

Farhan Khan then fired aleftfooter from the top right of the boxi nto the left corner of the post leaving SFS College goalkeeper Abhigil Markus stranded in the 19th to make it 2-0. This team is coached by Savio Andrew.The team was also trained by Sushil Wartiand Hemant Wasnik.
