FORMER ML Cand Nagpur Mayor and President of  Nagpur District Unified Hockey Association Sandip Joshi has been elected as the Associate Vice President of Hockey Maharashtra. He was elected for the next four years in Hockey Maharashtra elections held in Pune on Sunday. Joshi currently holds important responsibilities in various sports organisations in Maharashtra.

 

He isserving as Senior Vice-President of  Maharashtra Olympic  Association, President of  Maharashtra Basketball Association and President of  Maharashtra Body Builders Association. Along with promoting organisational work in the sports sector,Joshi has focused on providing necessary facilities for various sports, encouraging players and making continuous efforts for the development of the sports sector. He had also highlighted the need for a sports policy for the city in a discussion regarding the development of sports grounds of  Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
