THE Vidarbha Karate Association (VKA), Nagpur organised afelicitation ceremony to honour and encourage its talented karate players at the Vidarbha Sahitya Sammelan Hall, Sitabuldi recently. VKA felicitated those talented players who delivered outstanding performances while representing Maharashtra and Nagpur at the 2nd All India Karate Tournament held in Uttarakhand. Each gold medal-winning player was awarded an incentive of Rs 1,000.This year as many as 25 players were rewarded with cash prize. Dr Sambhaji Bhosale, Director of Sports at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and Kuldeep Sonkusare were the guests on the occasion. Gold medals and incentive amounts were presented by Dr Bhosale to Ayaan Upase, Vivaan Rathod, Tanaya Sonekar, Ritvik Raut, Vihaan Raut, Raghav Bhangde, Amaya Thul, Pranjali Yadav, Lobhas Ingole, Avani Salodkar, Daksh Kamble and Vivek Nimje. The event was attended by VKA President Vijay Ghichare, Secretary Pranjal Yedme, Treasurer Shubham Lakhekar and team members Vivek Nimje, Akash Bharti, Raj Bansod, Khemchand Bharti, Ritika Dhanwaj, Lobhas Ingole, Dipali Nimje, Avani Salodkar, Maitra Tiwari, among others.
