DEEPENDRA Singh Kushwah, IAS, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), on Wednesday interacted with representatives of major industry associations of Nagpur to discuss various issues concerning industrial development, infrastructure and the overall business environment in the region.

 

The interaction was attended by P Mohan, President, MIDC Industries Association (MIA), Vishal Agrawal, Immediate Past President, Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), Shashikant Kotharkar, President, Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA), and Julfesh Shah, Chairman, Chamber of Small Industry Associations (COSIA), along with Pradeep Khandelwal, Rohit Bajaj, Ashish Doshi, Vice-President, VIA, and other members. During the interaction, the industry representatives placed before the MIDC CEO a range of issues including the need for greater delegation of powers to MIDC’s regional offices, faster grievance redressal, improved coordination between MIDC and industrial associations, and a structured mechanism for monitoring pending issues. Deependra Singh Kushwah assured the industry representatives that the concerns raised during the interaction would be examined by the concerned MIDC authorities and appropriate action would be taken. He emphasized the importance of regular dialogue between MIDC and industrial associations for resolving operational issues and promoting industrial development.
