ST JOHN’S High School,Mohan Nagar and St Francis de Sales School, Sadar will once again lock horns on the football field when they meet in final of the 2nd edition of the Bishop George Cotton Memorial Inter-School Six-A-Side Football Tournament at Wings Turf, opposite Bishop Cotton School, Sadar on Wednesday morning. In the semi-finals,SFS thrashed STBT Convent 6-1 while St John’s had to fight out hard to eke out an arrow 2-1 winover SFS School of  Excellence. In SFS’ thumping win, Lakshit Pun, Abdullah Sheikh and Austin Lakrascored abrace each. For STBT, Amrain Ansari reduced the margin. In St John’s match, Umair Ansari scored abrace as they beat SFS School of Excellence 2-1. Arham Ahmad pulled one back for the losers.

 

In Under-14 girls category final, St Ursula will take on St Joseph’s Convent. In first semi-final, St Ursula beat Divine Providence 2-1 on penalties. Kinjal Pungati and Sanjana Potavi scored for Ursula while for Divine Providence Chaitali Uikey scored. In second semi-final,StJoseph’sConvent blanked SFS Excellence 2-0. Anupama Toppo (8th) and Prasiddhi Darwade (18th) were the scorers. In Under-17 boys final, SFS, Sadar will take on Kids World. SFS, Sadar thrashed Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar 6-1.Samuel Francisand Krutab Deshbhratar scored two goals each while Lokansh Chawreand Amaar Sayyad found the net once.Arnay Raut reduced the margin for Bhavan’s. In second semis, Farhan scored the only goal as Kids World ousted Bishop Cotton School 1-0.
