SANSKARDHANI is preparing
to celebrate Krishna
Janmashtami with religious fervour on Friday. Temples across
the city are being decorated
ahead of the festival. Special
arrangements are also being
made for devotees.
Krishna temples have been
cleaned and decorated with
flowers, lights and colourful decorations. Several temples are
being given a festive look.
Preparations for special prayers
and religious programmes are
also in progress.
At many temples, preparations for prasad have started.
Volunteers and temple committees are busy making
arrangements for the
distribution of prasad among
devotees. Special attention is
being given to cleanliness and
crowd management.
Idols of Lord Krishna are also
being decorated for the celebrations.
Artisans and temple
volunteers are preparing the
idols with new clothes, ornaments and flowers. The birth
ceremony of Lord Krishna will
be performed at midnight at
several temples.
Devotees are expected to visit temples throughout the day
and participate in prayers and
bhajans. Many temples have
planned special programmes
for children and devotees.
The festival will also bring
activity to markets, where decorative items, flowers, sweets
and worship materials are being
sold. Shops are witnessing
increased demand as people
make last-minute purchases.
With decorations, devotional music and preparations for
prasad underway, the city is taking on a festive look ahead of
Janmashtami.
