The Diabetic Association of India (DAI), Nagpur Chapter will organise its installation ceremony on September 6, at 9 AM at Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur, marking the beginning of its new leadership team for the year 2026–27. Dr Vivek Bhalerao will be installed as President of DAI, Nagpur Chapter, along with his team, by the chief guest Dr Vijay Panikar, Consultant, Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. The ceremony will be held in the presence of guests of honour Dr Vijay Neglur, Consulting Physician & Endocrinologist and Director, Dr Neglur’s Diabetes Specialties Centre, Thane; and Dr Shrirang Godbole, Consultant Endocrinologist, INSTRIDE and Jehangir Hospital, Pune.

 

The outgoing leadership comprising Dr Nitin Wadaskar, President (2025–26), and Dr Pooja Jadhao, Secretary (2025–26) will formally hand over the responsibilities to the new team. The new office-bearers are:- President - Dr Vivek Bhalerao; Secretary - Dr Abhishek Pande; Treasurer - Dr Ashish Sunde; President-Elect - Dr Mukund Ganeriwal; Immediate Past President - Dr Nitin Wadaskar; Immediate Past Secretary - Dr Pooja Jadhao; Vice Presidents - Dr Himanshu Patil and Dr Jayant Kelwade; Joint Secretaries - Dr Ketki Ambukar Telang and Dr Gunjan Dalal. The Executive Members are Dr Abhishek Khobragade, Dr Ajay Bulle, Dr Arjun Deshmukh, Dr Keshav Nagpure, Dr K Anupriya, Dr Paras Zunke, Dr Yoshita Pendharkar, Dr Sachin Jibhakate, Dr Sharad Dhurve, Dr Suhas Kanfade, Dr Swarup Verma, Dr Vivek Lade and Dr Yogesh Dhoble. The Scientific Committee comprises Dr Sunil Ambulkar, Dr Shailesh Pitale and Dr Swapna Khanzode as Chairpersons. The Cultural Committee will be headed by Dr Shankar Khobragade (Chairman), with Dr B K Sharma, Dr Piyush Kherde, Dr Sameer Shahane and Dr Yash Banait as Co-Chairpersons.
