An earthquake measuring 3.6 magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded at approximately 4.36 am in Gadchiroli district on Thursday. Preliminary data indicates the earthquake had a focal depth of about 10 kilometers, with its epicentre located in the reserved forest area of Sironcha taluka in Gadchiroli district. The tremor was felt 243 kilometres away from Nagpur district. The Aheri tehsil administration has reported that tremors were also felt in Aheri and Nagepalli areas of Aheri taluka. According to preliminary information, there have been no reports of loss of life or damage of property. Local authorities are assessing the situation following the tremors.
 
As of now, no reports of damage have been received. Gadchiroli District Collector Avishyant Panda has urged citizens not to panic due to the mild tremors. He advised residents to remain calm, exercise necessary caution, and refrain from believing rumors or unverified messages regarding the earthquake. The administration is monitoring the situation closely.
