‘MSMEs have registered tremendous growth in quality output’

MSME-DEVELOPMENT Institute (DI), Nagpur, Govt of India, Ministry of MSME, collaborated with G H Raisoni Group, Nagpur to organise award for ‘Enterprise Development and Promotion of brand MSME’ by conducting competition of school going children of Std IX to Std XII. The objective of the award is to create awareness and interest amongst children about MSME sector at school level and to give wide publicity to MSME brand.
 
The collaboration documents were handed over by P M Parlewar, Director, MSME-Development Institute, Nagpur, to Sunil Raisoni, Chairman, G H Raisoni Group of Institution, Nagpur. Dr Priti Rai, Assistant Professor, and Mragna Gupta, Senior Manager, G H Raisoni Group of Institution, Nagpur and Mayank Shukla, President, COSIA, Nagpur Chapter alongwith officers of MSME-Development Institute, Nagpur were present on the occasion. P M Parlewar, informed about the objective and methodology of award competition and said that this will strengthen the network with G H Raisoni Group of Institution, Nagpur. He also informed that school children will gain the knowledge about MSME sector while preparing for the competition. Sunil Raisoni, gave consent for active participation for organising competition in all 11 districts of Vidarbha. He said that Raisoni Group has network in Vidarbha and will complete award competition without any difficulties.
 
Dr Priti Rai will be the main co-ordinator for organising this competition alongwith other teaching staff and students of Raisoni group of Management College. Mayank Shukla, said that their association will provide support in promotion of brand MSME through such competitions of school children. The MSMEs in India have registered tremendous growth in terms of quality production, exports, innovation, product development and import substitution. It has become important to encourage such innovative efforts and promote this spirit in larger interest of qualitative development of MSMEs, he said. The Ministry of MSME recognises these entrepreneurs for their outstanding performance and by conferring awards to motivate and encourage them. The brand promotion competition will be organised in all 11 districts of Vidarbha during the month of October, 2019. The first category of awards will be for essay competition on MSME topic and 2nd category award will be for regional traditional art.
 
The student of class 9th to 12th of school level in all 11 districts of Vidarbha region will be eligible to participate in competition. The competition will be held in Hindi, English or in regional language. The prominent industries associations and local DICs in each district will be involved as a panellist for scrutiny and selection of awardees. Each award will carry cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 5,000 as 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each category and certificate. The awards will be distributed in Udyam Samagam which will be organised by MSME-Development Institute, Nagpur in each district during November to December, 2019.
