CM participates in Ravana Dehan programme at Shiva Ji Nagar 
 
Dussehra was celebrated with fervor and joy in State capital on Monday. People gathered in large number at various places to see effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran getting reduced to ashes after they were set on fire. Before the setting of effigies of demon king Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran, traditional Ramayana was staged by local artists. Chief Minister Kamal Nath participated Ravana Dehan programme at Dusshera Utsav Samiti of Shivaji Nagar.
 
Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that as a result of our deep faith in our rich religious and cultural traditions and the feeling of celebrating it together, our country is safe and its integrity is strong. He said that Dusshera, a symbol of victory of truth over untruth, is a day for all of us to take a resolve that we will not only keep our culture of solidarity intact but also strengthen it further. Kamal Nath was addressing the Ravana Dahan Samaroh, organised by the Dusshera Utsav Samiti of Shivaji Nagar at 5 no. Stop. Chief Minister said Adhyatma is one of the great strength of our country. The whole world considers our spirituality, civilization and culture as our strength.
 
He further mentioned that our new generation should imbibe our traditions of cultural and spiritual unity. He appealed to the elderly and social organisations to connect the youth and children with these cultures and motivate them to follow this path. Extending best wishes to all the citizens, He said that your presence shows that the unity and integrity of our country will always remain safe in future.
 
The Minister for Public Relations P C Sharma said that the Vijayadashmi festival symbolizes the victory of Dharma over Adharma and truth over untruth. The Chief Minister Kamal Nath has taken a pledge to remove all the evils that hamper the development and prosperity of the state in the coming five years, he added. The programme was also addressed by former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and former Union Minister Suresh Pachauri. Yogendra Singh Chouhan Guddu and citizens in large number were present on the occasion.
