More than one dozen IPS officers were transferred in State on Tuesday night. Purshottam Sharma, Special DG, Cyber Crime and STF (PHQ), has been transferred as Director, Public Prosecution Directorate, Bhopal. Sharma was recently in controversy for locking horns with DGP V K Singh over an issue pertaining to taking flat on rent in Gaziabad for investigation agency. Sharma had even expressed his anger against DGP openly. Sanjiv Sami, ADG Counter Intelligence and ATS (PHQ), has been shifted as ADG (Selection and Recruitment) and ADG Anti Naxal Operation.
He will also have additional charge of PHQ. Notably, Sanjiv Sami was heading the SIT formed to investigate honey-trap case. Dr Shailendra Shrivastava, DG-cum-Transport Commissioner Gwalior has been shifted as Chairman, Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation Bhopal. K N Tiwari, Special Police DG, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has been shifted as Special Police DG Selection & Recruitment PHQ. Pawan Kumar Jain, ADG Planning PHQ has moved out as ADG Special Police Establishment (SPE) Lokayukta Organisation, Bhopal. Kailash Makwana, ADG Intelligence (PHQ) has become ADG Administration (PHQ). Milind Kanaskar, ADG RAPTC Indore has been shifted as ADG Cyber Crime PHQ. GP Singh, ADG Anti Naxal Operation (PHQ), has been shifted as ADG SCRB, Bhopal. Sushobhan Banerjee, ADG SPE Lokayukta Organisation has been appointed as in charge DG EOW. Dr S W Naqbi, ADG Administration (PHQ), has been posted as ADG Intelligence PHQ, V Madhukumar, ADG SPE Lokayukta Organisation Bhopal, as ADG-cum-Transport Commissioner, Gwalior, Rajesh Gupta, ADG Special Campaign along with additional charge of cyber headquarters as ADG Counter Intelligence and ATS (PHQ), Adarsh Katiyar, ADG State Crime Record Bureau, PHQ as ADG and IG Bhopal Zone, Yogesh Deshmukh, IG Bhopal Zone as IG Administration, PHQ. Apart from this, Anant Kumar Singh, IG law and order PHQ has been promoted as ADG Planning PHQ. Ashotosh Rai, IG Hoshangabad Zone has been promoted as ADG and IG Hoshangabad Zone. Raja Babu Singh, IG Gwalior Zone, has been promoted and posted as ADG and IG Gwalior Zone. DP Gupta, IG Chambal zone, Morena has been promoted as ADG and IG Chambal Zone, Morena.
Transfer as per the policy Sources in Government said that those IPS officers have been transferred who were posted at same place for more than 3 years and their transfer has been done according to the transfer policy. Sanjiv Sami has been done as in coming one year, more than 20,000 police personnel have to be recruited. Hence, Sanjiv Sami has been posted in recruitment branch.
