A huge victory procession was taken out by workers and supporters of BJP in Gadchiroli on a decorated chariot. The election of Armori had became interesting as the Congress candidate Anand Gedam could not campaign as an offence was registered against him and he was trying for bail. All the campaigning was therefore done by other Congress leaders and workers. SurendrasinghChandel, who left Shiv Sena and contested the election as an Independent, also grabbed considerable votes. His candidature had become worrisome for BJP’s Gajbhe but he managed to emerge victorious. The candidates of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi were thrown much behind in this election. In Armori the Aghadi was at fourth place, in Aheri at fifth position and remained on third position in Gadchiroli, according to last available figures.
