Rebellion in Congress to benefit BJP

Vikas Kumbhare who is popular in Central Nagpur due to his pursuance of issues related to public is likely to win for the third time. A man-next-door type, he may get benefit due to rebellion in Congress. Kumbhare had registered his first win from Nagpur Central in 2009 after defeating Dr Raju Deoghare of Congress. He won second election from this constituency by defeating Dr Anees Ahmed of Congress. This time, he would be facing challenge from Bunty Shelke of Congress. Congress is facing a rebellion in the form of Ramesh Punekar. Bunty Shelke is corporator. His nomination for this constituency surprised everyone. His name was never in the news since beginning so when Congress declared its list and Shelke’s name figured, the resentment in the party came to the fore.
 
Ramesh Punekar, a senior leader of the constituency and corporator became rebel and filed his nomination papers. The rebellion in Congress will be one of the factors for the victory of Kumbhare. Kumbhare will bank of developmental works done in the constituency in last five years. His another plus point is, his name, which is known to every households. In last five years, he never lost contact with people. He maintained a low-profile but took lot of efforts to develop this part of Nagpur which is highly populated. On his demand, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari performed bhoomipujan for 7.30 km flyover from Kamal Square up to North Nagpur, connecting Sakkardara flyover in South Nagpur and Central Nagpur. The flyover will help citizens of the area to commute to North and South areas without traffic chaos.
 
Also, Kumbhare was instrumental in giving a facelift to Daga Hospital that has now become one of the top hospitals dedicated fully to women patients. He was also instrumental in bringing improvement in Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital. He resolved issues of Handloom weavers after pursuing those with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Nagpur Sutgirni was facing closure threat. It was Kumbhare who took up the matter with its administration to find a solution.
 
On demand of Kumbhare, Shri Jagruteshwar Devsthan in Jagnath Budhwari and Mahadev Mandir in Pachpaoli area have been granted status of tourism. People of the constituency have expressed faith in Kumbhare for being easily approachable and a bridge between them and the Government.
