Life back on track a day after Ayodhya verdict

A DAY after historical judgement of the Supreme Court of India ending decades old dispute, city markets buzzed with activities. People took a sigh of relief on Sunday after shops were opened and life was back on track. However, a few shops were kept closed by the police team to avoid mass gathering at a particular place. Although silence prevailed around the city after the court’s verdict. Police and district administration officials reviewed the situation very minutely and did not let people gather at one place even on Sunday.
  
People from all sections of the society were appealed to maintain peace in the city. A group of youngsters also remained active in city to appeal people to maintain peace. Police team was deployed at all sensitive parts of the city and entire situation was monitored by authorities through CCTV cameras and drones. People were asked to restrain putting unwanted comments and sharing objectionable pictures on social media.
 
Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ Seema Gupta, a household at Jyoti Nagar said, “Though it was a lazy Sunday but we got all eatables and other daily needs from market. On Saturday, no shops were open not even milk and vegetable shops.” Sale of liquor remained completely banned and all shops were closed.
 
On first day of judgement of the Supreme Court, city roads were deserted and people preferred to remain indoors. Daily needs shops like milk, vegetable, food, tea etc were completely closed. Only hospitals and medicine shops were open as per Government norms.
