The 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Sahib will be celebrated with religious zeal and devotion in the State capital by the Sikh community at several places on Tuesday. Devotees will be seen paying obeisance to Guru Granth Sahib. All the devotees from Sikh community will be present during the celebration to mark the occasion at Gurudwaras. The Gurudwaras located in city including Gurudwara Gurunanaksar, Gurudwara Piplani, Arera Colony, Gurudwara at Hamidia road.
 
All the Gurudwaras, Mantralaya, Vidhan Sabha have been decorated beautifully with lights and embellishments marking the pious occasion. Kirtan Darbar and Kavi Darbar in which hundreds of devotees sought blessings Guru Nanak Dev will also be decorated on the day. Religious sermons (Kirtan) will be held at Gurudwaras. Raagi Jattha will also ‘Nihal’ the Kirtan Darbar with various sermons. Religious processions will also be carried out from thoroughfares of the city.
 
There will also be community feast (Atoot Langar) for the devotees. During the fest, the centre of attraction will be Gurudwara Tekri Sahib, Idgah Hills, which is known for the visit of Gurunanak Devji 500 years ago. The footprints of Gurunanak Devji are still there on a stone in the form of a memorial. The auspicious day will witness grand celebration in the State capital. Sabad Kirtan Gurubani Kirtan will be held which will witness large number of participation of the devotees. Everyone will remember Guru Nanak Devji with devotion and will seek blessings of prosperity and bliss.
