IN THE matter challenging election of Shahdol Lok Sabha Constituency, single bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court comprising Justice Atul Sreedharan has directed to list this election petition for recording of the statement of the petitioner on November 22. Single bench heard the petition filed by Pramila Singh against Himadri Singh, Member of Parliament, Shahdol. During the hearing, an application has been moved on behalf of the petitioner seeking exemption from her appearance before this court today to record her evidence on account of her ill health. Accompanying the said application is her medical prescription with clinical history of the District Hospital, Shahdol, dated on November 12, 2019.

 

 

A copy of the said application along with the prescription of the District Hospital, Shahdol, has been given to the learned counsel for the State. He is requested to file a police report with regard to genuineness of the document on or before the next hearing. List this petition for recording of the statement of the petitioner on November 22, the single bench said. Advocate Sanjay Agrawal appeared on behalf of the petitioner, while Advocate Sooraj Bajpai for the respondent and R N Yadav, Panel Lawyer for the State. In previous hearing of the case, counsel for the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner is indisposed and is presently undergoing a health check-up for certain ailment. Under the circumstances, he prays for a short date.
