“A mega conference of Principals of eminent and reputed schools of India, and abroad first of its kind on the theme ‘Scripting the Legends of Human Excellence Through Schools’ is scheduled on November 19 and 20 at Chitnavis Centre, 56, Temple Road, Civil Lines,” informed Convenor Dr Mrunalini Dasture on Friday.
Addressing a press conference, Dr Dasture said that this year Principals from Kuwait, Gujarat, Punjab, Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad,
West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and 20 nearby cities around Nagpur would participate in the endeavour. This conference has been arranged by South Point School, Omkar Nagar in collaboration with The Royal Gondawana Public School, Scholastic India, Tychee Publishing and Sunflower Publishers Pvt Ltd.
The conference will be inaugurate at the hands of Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on November 19 at 9 am and will be graced by Prof Anand Kumar, renowned educator and founder of Super 30 programme, Patna. The inaugural programme will also witness the institution of Nachiketa Life Time Award. On both the days, there will be paper presentations by eminent principals of various esteemed institutes. There will be keynote addresses on various sub-themes of the conference.
On November 20, the keynote address will be given by Pt Vishwamohan Bhatt, Grammy Award winner, at 9 am; CP Vishwanath, CEO and Co-founder of Karadi Path at 10 am; Tejas Deoskar, Renowned Movie Director at 11 am; Sudhir Pathak, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner Director Helping Hands, Singapore at 12 noon; Air Marshal Shirish Deo (Rtd), Former Vice Chief of Indian Air Force at 2 pm.
The souvenir of the conference ‘Divvyam’ with the theme ‘Scripting the Legends of Human Excellence Through Schools’ will be released at the hands of Sonam Wangchuk in the valedictory programme scheduled on November 21 at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines.
Along with Nachiketa Awards, ‘Super Nachiketa Award’ will be given to one of the Nachiketa Awardees of previous conference, for having implemented the winning idea in the most appropriate manner in their school in the valedictory programme.
“We are looking forward to a serious discourse on the aforesaid theme when we meet for the conference,” she said. The fourth conference of school was on the theme ‘Back to Blackboard’ which was graced by Bharat Ratna Former President of Indian Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
