AIC-RNTU (Incubation Centre supported by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog) organised DCB Bank Innovation Carnival Pitch-a-thon 2019 recently. The occasion was graced with presence of Prasanna Lohar, Chief Innovation Officer, DCB Bank, Mumbai, Nitin Vats, Director, AISECT and other jury members for Pitch-a-thon were Pradeep Karambelkar, Founder and Managing Director Vision Advisory, Hitesh Ahuja, Founder and CEO Customise Homes, Ronald Fernandez, CEO AIC-RNTU Foundation. Pitch-a-thon was followed by a panel discussion by all jury members in which Prasanna Lohar highlighted future of Crypto currency, Block chain and various initiatives by DCB Bank to support startups, whereas Pradeep and Hitesh explained current scenario of Madhya Pradesh Ecosystem and various initiatives by the Government for startups.
Ronald explained importance of an incubator, mentor at the right stage of the startup along with various initiative taken by AIC-RNTU Foundation to support start-ups. Innovation Carnival Pitch-a-thon 2019 witnessed enthusiastic response from startups of Central India. Total 15 start-ups were shortlisted for Pitch-a-thon to present their ideas in front of the jury from more than 50 registered startups for the competition from various domains like IoT, Electronic vehicle, Chatbot, Sustainability, Automobile, Smart Agriculture etc. Winners of Innovation Carnival Pitch-a-thon 2019, Bhopal were RTIwala Services as winner while first runners-up was Pod Pitara and second runners-up was Aristi Cybertech Private Limited. Winners of Pitch-a-thon Bhopal were awarded Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 and these startups from here will move forward for finale in Mumbai; where they will compete with winners of nine more cities across the nation and winners in finale will be awarded cash prize worth Rs six lakh and mentorship.
