Everyday would be a good day in Chhattisgarh: CM

Taking a dig at his critics engaged in making a mockery of his government saying ‘Yeh Chaar Din Ki Chandni Kab Tak Chalegi’, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said, ‘Chhattisgarh Mein Ab Har Raat Chandni Hogi Aur Har Din Tyohar Hoga’ (Now everyday would be a good day in Chhattisgarh). The Chief Minister stated this while addressing the opening ceremony of Rajyotsav-2019 at Government Science College Ground in Raipur. “The one-third majority achieved by Congress in Assembly elections 2018 followed by victory in by-polls held for two seats should be a befitting reply to my critics. The work of my 11-month-old government in the State that led the Congress to a landslide victory in two seats of Bastar,” said Baghel while extending his greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh on the occasion of the 20th foundation day of Chhattisgarh on Friday.
 
Even great economists of the country are wondered today as to how Chhattisgarh manages to keep itself away from the negative impact of recession at a time when many Indian states are badly hit. “I would like to give the credit of this to the people of Chhattisgarh who have helped the Government in overcoming all odds in such a moment of crisis,” said Baghel.
 
People in Chhattisgarh have now started feeling secured under the present Government which created a secured environment in the State. “Now, the people feel that Chhattisgarh is their own state and it has been possible because of the present Government which has ensured ‘Jal, Jungle, Jameen’ for them,” Baghel asserted.
 
Chhattisgarh came into existence because of a movement started way back in 1924. Great personalities of Chhattisgarh like Dr Khoobchand Baghel, Pt Sundarlal Sharma and others made contribution in the formation of Chhattisgarh, said Baghel.
 
Releasing the new Industrial Policy 2019-24 ‘Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh’, Chief Minister Baghel said that the policy would mainly focus on bringing investment to backward areas of the state, setting up of environment friendly industries in every development block of the state, Technology oriented and agriculture based industries. He also paid tributes to the Congress leaders killed in Jhiram Ghati massacre in 2013.
 
Earlier, he read out the message of Congress National President Sonia Gandhi in the Rajyotsav programme. Baghel quoted, “Chhattisgarh was on right track of development in its initial days, but negative politics for 15 years halted developments of all sectors in the state.
 
Thanks to the people of the state who again voted Congress to power. The Congress government in the state has delivered outstanding results in a short span of time in terms of employment and financial stability” Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said that Chhattisgarh has made progress in all sectors in Congress rule. Earlier Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh R P Mandal delivered welcome speech.
 
The ministers of Chhattisgarh including Health and Family Welfare Minister T S Singhdeo, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Rajya Sabha MP Chhaya Verma and others were present on the dais.
