Nagpurians join BJP euphoria over CM Fadnavis’ new inning

The swearing-in of Devendra Fadnavis as Chief Minister of Maharashtra for fresh term was celebrated by citizens of Nagpur with much fervor. People burst firecrackers, danced, raised slogans in praise of Fadnavis at most of the places in city. Many leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed happiness over the development in State politics. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “This is the good development and I wish a good luck to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. I had said three days ago that nothing can be said in politics and cricket which came true. I have full confidence that this Government would complete term of full five years.”
 

 
 
Chandrashekhar Bawankule, former Minister, called this development as beginning of new era in State. He said, “Fadnavis is the God gift to the party who brought several welfare schemes for the poor, needy, farmers. The State government formed by three parties would not have last for long. Ajit Pawar is a studious leader also whose work I have seen from close quarters.” Dr Rajiv Potdar, President of Nagpur district BJP, commented, “The decision is in good faith state. It has ended the instability going on in State for the last one month. Because of the adamancy of Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP, his party broken the ties with BJP. With the sworn-in of Fadnavis, people of State have heaved a sigh of relief.”
 
Ajay Sancheti, ex-MP, has expressed happiness over the development. He called this move as a good one as far as State is concerned. He stated that because of non-formation of Government the administrative work had come to the standstill. Mayor Sandip Joshi welcomed the development and said, “Because of Devendra Fadnavis, Nagpur got a development boost. Now, with him sworn-in for the fresh term, funds will continue to pour in which is a good thing for the city.”
 
BJP Nagpur city unit welcomed the swearing-in of Devendra Fadnavis as Chief Minister again, and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister. The members, office-bearers celebrated the development near the party office at Tilak Putla, Mahal. President Pravin Datke, MLC Girish Vyas, Krishna Khopde, Mohan Mate, Vikas Kumbhare, Mayor Sandip Joshi, Sandip Jadhav, Subhash Pardhi, Nanda Jichkar, Archana Dehankar, Bhojraj Dumbe, Jaiprakash Gupta, Pragati Patil, Dayashankar Tiwari, Shivani Dani, Deaven Dasture, Dr Kirtida Ajmera, Dr Vinky Rughwani, Pratap Motwani, Divya Dhurde, Chandan Goswami, Prabhakar Yeole and others also were present. Citizens of Hingna constituency celebrated the formation of new Government in Maharashtra in front of office of MLA Sameer Meghe.
 
Along with Meghe, Vishal Bhonsale, Dhanraj Ashtankar, Varsha Shahakar and others were present. At Laxminagar Square, firecrackers were burst by the enthusiasts, and greeted each other over the positive turn of event in the State politics. Sandip Joshi, Mayor; Munna Yadav and others also were present. Dr Vinky Rughwani, Vice-President of Maharashtra Medical Council, congratulated Devendra Fadnavis for becoming Chief Minister of Maharashtra State once again.
 
At Jaripatka, similar celebration was witnessed with people raising slogans in praise of Fadnavis, calling him a visionary leader. The celebration was led by Virendra Kukreja, Mahesh Sadhwani, Dr Hemant Asrani and others. Kukreja said that Fadnavis had taken Maharashtra at a great height in last five years. Vidarbha Maza Party Founder Rajkumar Tirpude has sought to link Maharashtra’s political developments with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar's recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Tirpude said, “Pawar is the only person behind this surprise political development as he earlier also did the same with the than Chief Minister Vasantdada Patil in 1978. Today, he repeated the history.” A young worker of BJP in North Nagpur Kartik Larokar along with his followers celebrated the event by distributing sweets among people.
 
He expressed confidence that this Government would complete full five year term. Vijay Barse of ‘Jhund’ movie fame alleged that the move of sworn-in ceremony in Raj Bhavan is unconstitutional. He along with others have registered protest of this event. They have sent the letter of protest to Chief Justice of India Sharad Bobade and Secretary General of United Nations. Nagpur District Congress Committee has questioned the action taken by Governor as far as sworn-in ceremony of Devendra Fadnavis as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister is concerned.
