Dr Vilas Dangre gets Santkavi Kamlasut Memorial Award

“With the blessings of those who inspired me to work for the services of the people, I have received this award. I am happy to get another life to serve the people and complete my work”, said renowned homoeopath Dr Vilas Dangre. Dr Dangre was replying to his felicitation and getting an award in memory of Sant Kamlasut alias Chandrashekhar Warhadpande. The award was conferred upon Dr Dangre at the hands of Union Minister for Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari, in presence of MLC Nago Ganar and Corporator Dr Ravindra Bhoyar.
 
The award consists a scroll of honour, shawl, shreefal and Rs 25,000. Dr Dangre recalled his association with Kamlasut for the last 50 years. “The award has been accepted as his blessings on me,” he said. Gadkari said that when Dr Dangre suffered from a major health problem, it was a shock for everyone. He had lost his memory and eyesight. Fortunately, the memory was restored. With the blessings of Sant Gajanan Maharaj and prayers of the devotees he would get his eyesight back.
 
“I will first take him to Shegaon to seek blessings of Sant Gajanan Maharaj, if he gets his eyesight back”, Gadkari stated. Gadkari also recalled several incidents while working with Sant Kamlasut and Dr Dangre. He said that a person gets recognition by his dedicated work and qualities as a person. Girish Warhadpande made introductory remarks. Prakash Edlabadkar conducted the proceedings. Dr Dangre returned the award money and expressed his wish that the amount should be used to help the aged living in old age homes.
