“There is no saturation at the top level, even mediocre students also have ample job opportunities. Big information technology (IT) companies are going for mass recruitment drive,” said Ajinkya Saraf, Director of Saraf’s Ajinkya Tutorials Pvt Ltd. He was talking to The Hitavada on Tuesday evening. Emphasising that IT sector is the major employment provider even today, he said, “IT sector will remain major employer for a decades.” He said, “Nagpur has huge resources and things are in place which are opening doors of employment day by day.”

Saraf who has done Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM), Nagpur, was selected by University College, London. However, he could not join as he met with an accident. He was bed ridden for two years. While on bed, he started teaching to students by helping them in solving their problems of Maths. This paved the idea to start tutorial. With help of his mother, who was also retired Maths teacher from Dharampeth Science College, Saraf’s Ajinkya Tutorials Pvt Ltd was born. “In a span of 8 years, we are now having 450 students. We are satisfied with our strength. We take admission as per our capacity,” he said.

Counting his achievements, Saraf added that every year his students are getting placed in IITs and reputed engineering colleges. “We segregate students into batches according to their calibre, and teach each batch accordingly. The toppers have good grasping power. We give personal attention to each student so that they can score good marks,” Saraf said. With so many engineering colleges, Nagpur direly needs educational institute like IIT. “We have VNIT, Government Medical College and even IIM. City needs an IIT too, as we have complete eco-system,” he noted. He also felt that Environmental Science (EVS) subject should be included in the entrance exams.

Even the marks of EVS score must be added in the 10th and 12th, he pointed out. “EVS will help student to acquainted with types of pollution and environmental problems which we are facing today. They can even come out with proper solutions,” he felt. There are many new career options for students like Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED), CLAT etc.
