After former minister and BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar, a senior police officer in Raipur becomes the latest victim of threat call on his mobile phone. The unidentified caller has threatened the police officer to abduct and kill him. “Azad Chowk City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Nasar Siddiqui has received a death threat on his mobile phone from an unidentified caller.
 
On Tuesday evening, Siddiqui received a phone call on his mobile phone from 8858996788. The caller introducing himself as Umesh Mishra and started abusing the officer. Besides, the caller also threatened to kidnap and kill Siddiqui,” said Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Rajkumar Patre. Police investigators have initiated the process for collecting Call Detail Record (CDR) of unidentified caller and soon he will be in the police net, stated SHO Patre.
 
The unidentified caller also threatens the CSP to fabricate him in bogus police case and make him run pillar to post for the justice, averred police sources. Following the complaint of CSP Siddiqui, Kotwali Police have registered an offence against the caller under Section 507 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), which amounts to the charge of criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication, said police, elaborating that further probe in the case is underway.
 
An offence against the same caller was registered with Ganj Police for allegedly calling to the landline number of Raipur Central Jail and abusing officials as well as other on-duty staff, said police sources. It may be recalled that on November 26, former minister and BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar has received a threat call from sand mafia. The entire issued has rocked the third day of ongoing Winter Session of Chhattisgarh Assembly. Taking swift action in the case, police have arrested habitual offender of Durg district Jaspal Singh alias Goldy (22), failing from Bhilai.
