MSME-Development Institute, Nagpur in association with Mohabat Singh Tuli Education Society, Nagpur organised two day industrial motivation campaign at M.S.T. College of Hotel Management, Nagpur. P M Parlewar, Director of MSME-DI Nagpur and Mohabat Singh Tuli were present along with the team of officers from MSME-DI, bank officials to address the gathering. The objective of organising industrial motivation campaigns (IMCs) was to identify and motivate prospective entrepreneurs having potential for setting up MSEs for self employment and to lead them towards self employment.
IMCs are conducted wherein educated unemployed youth are invited to participate in an awareness camp for information on self employment schemes and assistance available from different agencies and organisations of the Ministry. The interested youth is given guidance and assistance on the spot during their follow up visits to different agencies through entrepreneurs development training programmes. P M Parlewar welcomed the huge gathering and spoke on the objective of organising IMCs. Taking into account the importance of skill development in setting up of small ventures, MSME-DI, Nagpur organises various skill development programmes which will enhance the skill of potential prospective and existing entrepreneurs in association with other related departments of MSME Ministry and which also aims at growth of rural industries through skill development, he said.
Parlewar stressed the need of skill development through proper training. He said, for becoming self employed, skill development is very important and for this purpose MSME-DI is providing a platform by conducting various programmes for the benefit of prospective and existing entrepreneurs. Mohabat Singh Tuli while speaking on the occasion said, MSME sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of Indian economy over the last few decades. It plays a crucial role in increasing employment through self employment. He explained about the various activities carried out by Mohabat Singh Tuli Education Society, Nagpur for the poor and educated unemployed youth. There are ample opportunities available in hotel and food industries to set up MSMEs.
The present requirement of hospitality and hotels in the country are rising day by day as a result it is one of the largest employment providing sector. Ms Urvashi Yashroy, Director of M.S.T. College of Hotel Management, Nagpur while speaking on the occasion said, MSME sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of Indian economy over the last few decades. It plays a crucial role in increasing employment through self employment. She stressed the need for women entrepreneurship and the importance of women becoming self employed and financially independent. She also said that while starting business, hard work and determination is very important. Efforts combined with hard work will definitely lead towards success. She appealed to the women participants to take maximum benefit of MSME schemes by attending the training programmes.
S R Khujnare, Assistant Director and Rahul Mishram, Assistant Director, MSME-DI gave power point presentation about schemes of Ministry and assured to help women and men present in the programme to provide whatever help required for starting their own venture. Yuvraj Shahare, explained various schemes of banks. Vinay Chawla motivated the participants for self employment. Officer from MSME-DI, Nagpur explained in detail about the schemes of DIC like PMEGP scheme and also about the registration procedure and appealed to the participants to get benefitted from the schemes.
