Alleges that BJP workers are being targeted under the garb of drive

State BJP President Rakesh Singh has taken umbrage on anti-Mafia drive of the State Government by alleging that it is taking action in a discriminatory manner. People associated with BJP are being targeted. Likewise, institutions and societies of those people are being targeted who refused to fall under the influence of Government. Interacting with mediapersons at the party office, Rakesh Singh stated that by taking action in a discriminatory manner, Congress government wants to intimidate the Opposition. “Even during the reign of Shivraj Singh Chouhan government, action against Mafia had been taken….but Kamal Nath government is doing discrimination in action against Mafia,” he told.

He added that if Government really wants to make Mafia-free Madhya Pradesh then it has to focus on such people who are sitting underneath its nose and patronising Mafia to fill the coffers. Challenging the Government, he said that if it has the acumen then it should free 20 Bigha land of Gwalior-based Haridarshan Higher Secondary School as land in question is in the grip of a Congress leader. He claimed that establishment of BJYM officer-bearer had been razed down in Jabalpur notwithstanding that owner of it having all the necessary documents. He asserted that in the name of anti-Mafia drive, Congress wants to create a fearful atmosphere so that no one can muster courage to raise voice against it in State. “CM Kamal Nath is creating anarchy in the name of anti-Mafia drive,” he alleged.

He also stated that a person had been witness in a case filed against Congress MLA in Ashok Nagar. The person was attacked brutally and threatened of dire consequences if he tries to become a witness in case. Alleging that Congress is trying to hide its failures, he spoke on the ongoing opposition against Citizenship Amendment Bill and told those powers are being the protest which want to do vote bank politics. Taking a jibe at Congress, he said that protest is happening at those places where there are Congress governments.
