A delegation of members of Akhil Bharatiya Mahanubhav Parishad led by its president Gopirajbaba Shashtri Riddhapur along with Member of Parliament Krupal Tumane met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and demanded to establish Marathi Language University at Shri Kshetra Riddhapur. A memorandum of demands was submitted to Chief Minister.

 

Sarvadnya Chakradhar Swami had established Mahanubhav Panth which has been spread across the country. Shri Kshetra Riddhapur has been considered as a Kashi of Mahanubhav. This sect is recognised as Jaikrishni Panth in different states of the country like Delhi, Chandigarh, Hariyana, Himachal Pradesh, North India and other parts of the country. The original script of Leela Charitra was written in Riddhapur. This is the ancient scripture of Marathi literature and many researchers, writers, scholars etc had studied the same. The delegation has demanded Chief Minister to establish Marathi language university in Riddhapur. The delegation consisted as Mahant Gopiraj Baba, Mahant Panchraut Baba, Purshottam Thakre, Prasanna Muni, Mahant Bandhkar Baba, Mahant Nyanabas Baba, Wamanrao Wankhede and others.
