Chhattisgarh’s Tableau has been once again selected for Republic Day parade in New Delhi, where it will be displayed at Rajpath. This tableau will capture the glimpse of contributions made by Chhattisgarh’s rich art, ornaments and culture.
It has been selected by the Expert Committee of Defense Ministry. The Chhattisgarh tableau based on subject - traditional art, ornaments and culture, has been selected after five rounds of extensive selection process. In these rounds, theme, design, 3D model and music etc of the tableau were examined and thereafter final selection was made. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated people of state for the achievement and said that Chhattisgarh’s culture and traditions will get an opportunity to cut a niche for itself before the national and international audience. Chhattisgarh’s tableau secured first position in year 2006 and third position in year 2010 and 2013.
The Chhattisgarh tableau will spread awareness among lakhs of national and international audience about various colours and aspects of Chhattisgarh’s traditions and culture. A team of 25 tribal dancers from Bastar will accompany the tableau on Rajpath, who will display Madiya dance form. Later, this team will display their folk art form before the President and Vice-president.
Amidst stiff competitions from different states, Chhattisgarh was selected by beating the tableaux of including Maharashtra, Delhi, Bihar, Uttarkhand, West Bengal and Jharkhand.
