The year bygone with the full of significant activities conducted under various forums of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), which was not only beneficial for industrial community but encouraging budding entrepreneurs also. The major achievements were VIA and Solar Vidarbha Udyog Gaurav Awards which got magnificent response from participants of Vidarbha. This year, Life Time Achievement Award conferred to Ankur Seeds Pvt Ltd, Nagpur. Delegation of Joint Coordination Committee comprising of VIA, BMA, MIA, KIA & DICCI met Dr P Anbalagan, CEO MIDC and brought about exorbitant hike in service charges by MIDC. Hence, he too put status quo on current service charges.

He also assured henceforth the Deputy CEO would be visiting Nagpur two times in 15 days, to expedite the matters for the benefit of the industrialists and entrepreneurs of Vidarbha. VIA Agro & Rural Development Forum interacted with Director (Input & Quality Control) & Chief Quality Control Officer, Department of Agriculture, GoM and raised digitisation issue of licensing through online portal. VIA suggested an advance model of application process and license generation. During interaction authorities agreed to develop a system similar to the proposal given by VIA.

“We had also promoted activities of Central and State governments under HRD Forum i.e. sessions on ‘New Wage Code (Bill) 2019,’ ‘Child Labour Eradication Campaign & Employers’ and ‘Role of Mediation in Industrial Dispute between Employees,” said Dr Suhas Buddhe, Vice-President of VIA. VICCO, CMD Sanjeev Pendharkar shared its success story with LEW members on Rollercoaster Ride of Mahabrand VICCO. Udyojika - an all eves exhibition with Barrister Sheshrao Wankhede Trust also grand success. Participation of VIA III Forum in “Agro Vision 2019” was learning experience for engineering students.
