Hanumantal police have succeeded in apprehending two accused, who were absconding after attempting murder of a man by firing bullets on him at Durga Chowk area and seized two country-made revolvers and four live cartridges from them, Monday. The arrested have been identified as Bunty Maratha (33) and Ankit Maratha (28), residents of near Badi Khermai Mandir. SHO of Hanumantal police station, R K Soni informed that, on March 13, police received information of firing bullets at Durga Chowk. Receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and rushed the injured named Naresh Sonkar to Victoria Hospital.
 
The injured Naresh Sonkar (25), resident of Sonkar Mohalla in Hanumantal, informed that, he is illiterate and putting up a vegetable stall. He was standing at tea kiosk of Raju, where Bunty Maratha, Ankit Maratha, Nitin Maratha and Jatin Maratha arrived and attacked him over an old rivalry. Miscreants attempted to kill him by firing bullets on him. In the firing incident, he sustained a bullet injury on his head. Acting on the complaint, Hanumantal police registered a case under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC and arrested Nitin Maratha (33) and Jatin Maratha (20) on the same day of incident and two more accused named Bunty Maratha and Ankit Maratha were absconding after the incident. Continuing a rigorous search, police have arrested Bunty Maratha and Ankit Maratha and seized two country-made revolvers and four live cartridges from them, while further investigations are underway.
