In comparison to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), it is Congress which is facing the challenge of how to contest Lok Sabha elections on those seats which are tough. BJP is having sea of established leaders on almost all seats but Congress is facing the shortage of convincing faces. Hence, deciding candidates on tough Lok Sabha seats is going to prove a Herculean task for Congress. As far as BJP is considered then it is in a fix over who should be fielded from traditional Congress Lok Sabha seats such as Guna, Ratlam- Jhabua and Chhindwara. Moreover, BJP is also considering Gwalior Lok Sabha seat as complicated as there is likelihood that Congress may be fielding Jyotiraditya Scindia’s wife from Gwalior Lok Sabha seat. If she is fielded then political equations will get changed totally.

Currently, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar is MP from Gwalior Lok Sabha seats. The murmurs inside BJP says that Narendra Singh Tomar has sensed the public mood and hence he is trying to change his Parliamentary constituency and looking towards contesting Lok Sabha election either from Bhopal or Vidisha, both seats are stronghold of BJP. Likewise, BJP is also in a fix in deciding candidates on traditional Lok Sabha seats of Congress such as Chhindwara and Guna. On the other hand, resentment against sitting MPs on many Lok Sabha seats has also increased troubles of BJP. There is report that BJP workers and even people have strong reservations against Member of Parliament from Sagar, Laxmi Narayan Yadav, MP Janardhan Mishra (Rewa), MP Rethi Pathak (Siddhi), Gyan Singh (Shahdol), MP Rodmal Nagar (Rajgarh), MP Chintamani Malviya (Ujjain), MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan (Khandwa) etc. even the Lok Sabha election from Jabalpur seat is likely to become complicated as Congress wants to win Jabalpur Lok Sabha seat at any cost. This seat is currently represented by BJP State President Rakesh Singh.

Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ ex-Member of Parliament Raghunandan Sharma told that this time, there is strong undercurrent in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as everyone is realising that he is working selflessly and taking tough decisions in interest of people. As far as resentment against any particular MP is concerned then party should give chance to someone else instead of repeating him. When contacted, BJP Spokesman Rajnesh Agrawal told ‘The Hitavada’ that as far tough seats are concerned then seats such as Chhindwara, Guna and Ratlam-Jhabua are difficult for BJP and accordingly strategy is being prepared. On other seats there could be resentment against particular sitting Member of Parliament but there is no any big problem regarding the seats. The buzz in the corridors of BJP is this that tickets could be denied to more than one dozen sitting MPs and new faces would be brought forward. Congress on the other hand is under tremendous pressure to snatch those Lok Sabha seats from BJP which have been once its territory. To wrest such seats from BJP, it is busy in doing contemplation and preparing waterproof strategy. The suggestion of CM Kamal Nath to Digvijay Singh to fight from tough seat is a part of this strategy.
