IN ORDER to enable startups raise funds from angel investors, VCAT Nagpur will be organising presentations by startups before angel investors. VCAT has arranged pitches on March 25 which will be held at Limburnum Hall in Chitanavis Centre at Civil Lines from 5.30 pm. The first startup is Ed-tech for Government jobs. This startup is backed by founders who are alumni of IIT Kanpur and Symbiosis, Pune. The startup is focused on test-prep for examinations for Government jobs. The market for which consists of students from rural areas and small towns who appear for the tests in vernacular languages. The MD of Accenture, CFO of Idea Cellular, Head of Investor Relations of Tata are some of the investors that have invested in this startup. The second startup is artificial intelligence (AI) based content analyser. The company is a writing platform that is AI enabled.
Users have to post their content on the platform and using the AI technology, the company’s tool will help users to enhance the content quality by giving them results for the emotional intelligence, spell check and analysis of the tone of the content. The founder is an Electronic Engineer from VIT with 8+ years of experience in sales and marketing. The third startup is Kids Retail-founded by a chartered accountant and an alumnus of Oxford University. Experts peg the total purchases in India influenced by kids to USD 100 billion. CA B C Bhartia, CA Poonam Khandelwal, CA Punit Jain and CA Swati Sharma have requested angel investors and others to take advantage of this pitch.
