Four arrested for illegally selling BSNL SIM cards

A COMBINED team of Crime Branch and Sanjeevani Nagar police nabbed four accused involved in illegal selling of BSNL SIM cards in the name of fake identity and seized two laptops, 10 mobile handsets, 570 activated and 365 inactivated SIM cards of BSNL. The accused have been identified as Saurabh Sen (25), son of Kishanlal Sen, a resident of near Gautam Madhiya in Sanjeevani Nagar, Ravindra Patel (33), son of Charan Lal Patel, resident of in front of Shukla Dairy in Kripal Chowk, Garha, Vikas Vishwakarma (30), son of Govind Prasad Vishwakarma, resident of Jagdamba Colony, Maharajpur in Adhartal and Advin Jacob (30), son of Robinson Jacob, resident of Trimurty Nagar, Krishna Colony in Gohalpur. Superintendent of Police Nimish Agrawal disclosed this while addressing a press conference on Wednesday. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Nimish Agrawal, police started a special campaign against illegal activation of mobile SIM cards during enforcement of model code of conduct under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Rajesh Tripathi, Additional SP (Rural), Dr Raisingh Narvaria, Additional SP (South), Dr Sanjeev Uike, Additional SP (Crime), Shivesh Singh Baghel and Crime Branch. During the campaign, Crime Branch received information about a man involved in illegal activation and selling of BSNL SIM cards at higher rates. Acting promptly on the information, a combined team of Crime Branch and Sanjeevani Nagar police trapped four men when they were selling activated SIM cards on Gautam Madhiya main road.
