services firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Friday reported a 17.7 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 8,126 crore for the March 2019 quarter. This is against a net profit of Rs 6,904 crore in year-ago period, TCS said. Revenue of city-based firm grew 18.5 per cent in quarter under review to Rs 38,010 crore from Rs 32,075 crore in corresponding period last fiscal, it added.
For full year (2018-19), net profit was higher by 21.9 pc at Rs 31,472 crore, while revenue increased 19 pc to Rs 1,46,463 crore. “This is the strongest revenue growth that we have had in the last fifteen quarters. Our order book is bigger than in prior three quarters, and the deal pipeline is also robust. Despite macro uncertainties ahead, our strong exit positions us very well for the new fiscal,” Rajesh Gopinatha
