Purohit to lay foundation stone of Suraj Eye Institute today

Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Tamil Nadu, will lay foundation stone of Suraj Eye Institute to be set up at MIHAN. Function of the foundation ceremony will be held on Sunday at 11 am at Hotel Tuli Imperial.This will mark the beginning of building a modern eye care facility in Nagpur with primary focus on affordable high quality eye care for all, with additional focus on eye research, teaching and training. Dr Francis Hiddema, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), The Rotterdam Eye Hospital.

The Netherlands, and Dr Girish Rao, Medical Director, Sankara Netralaya, Chennai, will be the guests of of honour. The hospital has also been a member of the prestigious World Association of Eye Hospitals for the past six years. The institute will be operational in MIHAN by 2021, informed its Chairman Dr Vinay Nangia.
